6 month academic project at Carnegie Mellon to practice human centered design process.
I went all out and conducted 15+ interviews & deployed surveys {n=187} to research & validate
product requirements for our key user garbage truck drivers.

Ultimately the team at Volvo/MACK were happy with the proposal

Our execution of the HCD process surfaced some new areas for innovation in the refuse truck space.
And this is the sort of process I hope to bring to your businesss.

Tom Lansing was an integral part of the CMU Team. Throughout the project he operated in a leadership capacity,
took feedback well, was proactive in his problem solving and need finding, and overall was an excellent team member.
Volvo is very excited about the solution this team ideated and will potentially look to implement it in the future.
